Martrice Williams, LCSW

Martrice Williams is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who has been providing quality mental health and social services in the Rockford area for over 20 years. She earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from Southern Illinois University and a master of social work from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Her one-year accredited internship was completed at the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services.

Mrs. Williams is a certified child custody evaluator, trained by the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, with a certificate of training in co-parent counseling training. She is also a certified family therapy interventionist trained by Terry Treppe, Ph.D., and Lorna Hecker, Ph.D. Mrs. Williams holds a certificate of training in accelerated adaptive information processing/eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). She provides a comprehensive assessment, which leads to an individualized treatment plan, that addresses individual needs and goals.

She has evaluated and treated many children, adolescents, and adults for emotional and behavioral problems. She conducts assessments and treats conditions such as bipolar disorder, attention deficit disorder, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, couples counseling, school related problems, life stressors, eating disorders, depression, anxiety disorders, sexual abuse treatment, and marital counseling.

Professional memberships include National Association of Clinical Social Workers. Mrs. Williams is involved in community organizations such as Rockford Rotary Club, Rockford Chamber of Commerce, Northern Illinois Community Foundation Scholarship Committee and The Taus Organization.
