Kellie Ojeda, LCPC
Kellie earned her Master's degree in Clinical Counseling from Judson University in 2019. Since then, she have served in both private practice, larger corporations, and non-profit settings working with post-adoption families, serving individuals navigating complex emotional and relational challenges. Moreover, Kellie was the first therapist to spearhead the JOYNT program in collaboration with OrthoIllinois, integrating psychological support into orthopedic care and advancing a more holistic model of healing.
Kellie's work is centered around attachment wounds, relational dynamics, grief and miscarriage loss, anxiety disorders, trauma recovery, and often-overlooked emotional components of weight and body struggles. She approaches counseling from a trauma-informed lens, recognizing that early experiences and significant losses shape our present patterns. Additionally, Kellie offers Christian-faith-based therapy when requested and she has counseled pastors, missionaries, and those in church ministry.
Kellie is especially passionate about helping clients untangle attachment pain, process grief in a compassionate and safe environment, and rebuilding a sense of safety within themselves and their relationships. Her main goals are to offer a safe, nonjudgmental, empathetic space to grow and have a therapeutic alliance that allows difficult work and topics to be processed. She aims to assist clients in self-actualization, healing, and reaching their fullest potential.
"I have three children and a partner whom I love and spend a lot of time with. In my spare time, I love journaling, reading, spending time with my friends, exercising, being outside, and drinking coffee at coffee shops. I also enjoy writing books and writing in general. If you decide to schedule an appointment with me, bring your favorite drink and comfy items."
